You have questions? Honestly, I’d be worried if you didn’t. Please check out our frequently asked questions below for some of the commonly raised queries.
Still have questions? I’m just an email away and happy to help!
We highly recommend getting in touch at least 6 months ahead of your wedding date, especially if you know you want to work with us. This will allow us to give you the full experience including the best part – your cake tasting.
We understand that sometimes life is unpredictable and we will always try to help accommodate orders with less notice.
That said, to uphold the high standards and quality designs we are known for, we require a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice for all orders.
We’re available for weddings across The Netherlands and Europe.
We’ve delivered through the sand dunes, to beautiful Chateaus and castles, to the hills of Tuscany, and even ventured with a wedding cake by plane to the mountains of Austria.
Where will you take us to next?!
Absolutely! We firmly believe the cake tasting is a key part of your wedding cake experience so that you choose a flavour both you and your guests will love.
We believe that everyone should be able to enjoy a sweet bite alongside you on your wedding day. During your consultation, we’ll discuss any potential allergies and solutions.
We currently offer the possibility for lactose-free, gelatin-free, as well as egg or nut free.
Due to the nature of working in a small kitchen where gluten products are prepared, we are unable to accommodate for gluten-free/coeliac allergies. We will be happy to recommend an alternative bakery for gluten-free options should you need it.
Our primary focus is on creating exquisite wedding cakes, especially during the high season from May to September.
We may also be available to design other cakes that follow the same elegant style we are known for. However, please note that we do not create children’s character cakes or any designs that involve copyrighted material.
We also offer specials during holiday seasons like Mother’s Day, Canada Day, and Christmas. Interested in one of our gift boxes? Keep an eye on our socials for these exclusive menus.
We often hear the recommendation to order ten percent less than your guest count, but imagine doing that and finding out your grandma ended up without a slice because it ran out. Or even worse – you get pulled away for photos and don’t get to enjoy a full slice yourselves. We want to make sure everyone is included in this festive moment!
Based on our experience and feedback from our couples, we know good cake gets eaten. So we suggest planning based on the number of expected guests. Even though there may be a few guests who do not wish to part take, we know other guests have come back seeking seconds.
During your consultation, I’ll walk you through various sizes and shapes to help you envision what your cake could look like based on the number of expected guests.
Don’t want the celebration to end? Consider ordering a little extra to take home. Our couples have shared that they loved having a box of extras to take home and enjoy the flavour of their celebration just a little bit longer.
Natuurlijk! I can speak both English and Dutch, so please feel welcome to write to me in the language you are most comfortable (only these two please).
Whilst I may no longer apologise to furniture when I bump into it or say eh quite so often, yes, it’s true – I am Canadian. I’m originally from Ontario, Canada, I moved to the Netherlands in 2014 to complete my masters in International Management Sciences as a part of my degree from the Ivey Business School…but I fell in love with this rainy country and made it into my home!
